Interesting things bought?
Just spent Sunday at the Collectors Fair at a table my Dad had. (Poor Dad. Didn't sell more than 1 Teddy bear).
I did however pick up a cool Bodybuilding trophy that I can pretend I won when younger
also scored a DS9 model kit of the station.
Anybody else scored anything of interest at any trash and treasure markets or garage sales?

Re: Interesting things bought?
I sometimes have competitions with the other half to see who can find the most tacky/gaudy piece of stuff for under $10.
I regret not getting the John Wayne cowboy plate with gilt edging, it would have done me proud for many weeks, and sat lovely next to my dogs playing poker in the shed.

My biggest regret is not purchasing a Stereopticon when I found one last year.

If I ever stumble across one again for the same amazing price, I will not hesitate!
My favourite purchase though would be our little Max Rebo

I picked him up for $3!
I fight a tough battle when it comes to negotiations involving money

I just bought the 2009 ASTROBOY movie on DVD.
Decided to go DVD over BD as every imagi flick I own is on DVD.

Interesting things Bought
At the video store this weekend my little eye spied the collectors range of terminator salvation figurines - it was love at first sight! I just had to get one. I am sure the intended purpose is for kids - but we all are still youthful inside right?!
Anyone else ever had a similar experience where you see something you know you should be over at this stage in life but just had to have?

I have to borrow that off you at some point. I've also got to hunt down a copy of "Nick Fury" starring The Hoff.

Re: Interesting things bought?
Picked up a bunch of tv series at roughly $10 each with broken cases!
Got Boston legal series 1-4 which are perfect for watching while study for legal studies.
Degrassi old school which can replace my scratched up disks.
and I also picked up sailor moon, which I was obsessed with when I was younger to the extent that I wore a sailor moon costume every day.
I had no idea till now that it was dubbed, but I still adore it.

I've got the DVD boxset version.

It contains about 80+ DVDs of the entire (surviving) original series episodes.
OK so I didn't actually buy it, but I did buy the wood to make it.

Re: Interesting things bought?
Sold a bunch of stuff at Austrek yesterday.
Didn't actually buy it, but one of the guys had a boxed set of 12 lead miniatures from the old Marvel Super Heroes RPG, which was very very tempting.
But we are trying to sell stuff off, so I had to be strong and resist.

Re: Interesting things bought?

Despite saying I would not buy anything at Supanova ($9 for a tiny pizza and drink?), I did splurge and used my DWCV discount to get the new Sonic Screwdriver for $27. Not sure it was a good price or not, but I left it on the club table and everyone played with it.
Ironically, you need a regular screwdriver to make the sonic screwdriver work (sealed battery compartment). Yes, how we laughed. :-/ The pic is obviously a promo, my one ended up with the club's belongings so I will need to retrieve it this weekend.

Re: Interesting things bought?
I have the Eccleston / Tennant Sonic Screwdriver, and I laughed at needing a screwdriver to set it up as well. I thought if only I had a sonic screwdriver to set up my sonic screwdriver, but then I would need a sonic screwdriver to set up my sonic screwdriver so that I could set up my sonic screwdriver...oh no! I've gone crosseyed.
Unfortunately my son and daughter always like to take my Sonic Screwdriver to play with it, because they are both fans too. Yes, my 2 year old daughter is a fan of Doctor Who!
I just have to keep yelling at them to stop playing with dads toys!
