Great job again with the Podcast, I turned my computer on just to download it this morning. This week I especially enjoyed your spoiler free feedback on Kick-Ass; as a result I plan to make my way to a comic shop to pick up a copy before I see it - I like to be a little spoiled!

Caesar does sound like an interesting instalment for the PotA franchise; it reminds me that I need to finish watching the television series and track down the animated one. There was an ape-head dvd box set out a few years back which I regret not buying now. Oh well, maybe this film will lead onto more, starting at this point leaves a huge amount of room for sequels.

I almost saw Avatar again with two friends who have yet to endure it, so hearing an extended cut is on its way to iMax makes the delay serendipitous. More 3D bang for my buck.

Oh, and I am glad to hear of the iPhone 4.0 software update as having to constantly close Apps just to check this or change that causes me to sigh loudly, especially if its just to check an eMail or similar.

Wow, thank you

Cool! I found it really hard not to discuss spoiler material because a lot of the review I wanted to do for the film was along the lines of "Wasn't it freakin' awesome when A did B and C happened?!?!". I'm glad that the review was still understandable and as postive as it was meant to be while we censored ourselves from giving too much away lol.

PotA was on in my house when I was a kid but I didn't really watch it. I did like the Ape masks we had from the merchandise though
The idea behind the new film is interesting enough that it's got my attention and I am interested in seeing it when it comes out.

No probs! Glad you guys could put something together so quick! It was a fun piece too

I have no idea, except possibly that Hollywood is desperate for ideas, but as long as it's done in an OTT style I can see it being okay

Re Spoilers: Unless it's like Lord of the Rings or Romeo & Juliet then spoiler stuff should be in place. I didn't even know there was a comic of Kick-Ass.

That said I remember when the Baz Luhrman's Romeo & Juliet came out there were people who were shocked that they died in the end. Admittedly they were teenage bimbos, but still.

In regards to spoilers, we generally don't worry about them because we have warned people before that our cast is not for those wanting to stay spoiler free. I use to try to remain spolier free and I worked incredibly hard to avoid spoilers (not easy for an information junkie), but anyone who actively seeks out geek news and listens to a geek cast should expect spoilers... or not listen... their choice
No hard feelings... it's just always too hard to know who knows what as the internet is global, so you can't wait until every region has watched/read/etc something before commenting on it or it isn't worth discussing by then, in most cases.

Of course, in the case of Kick-Ass, as it was a preview screening, we thought it better to avoid spoliers. Although, as was pointed out in the cast, almost nothing on the screen will be a spoiler worry for those that have read the comic.

When we reviewed The Wolfman, for example, we did comment on a bit more as, although we had seen a preview, we only saw it a day early, so by the time we did the recording it had entered general release locally. We avoided giving away everything, but basically we don't worry about spoilers in the most common cases.

This happened at a screening of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet that I was at!
I was shocked that this girl could be gushing a wave of tears while repeating over and over that it wasn't fair that they died, and how could they let the main characters die, and what terrible writing it was to let something so awful happen, etc...

I see your sharktopus and raise you BearSharkTopus

* very much looking forward to the Riverworld.. hmmmm.
* Vote 1 for Murdoc, (though I would have liked to hear more of Damon Alban (?) on the album.)
*totally on board with your spoiler policy (far too formal a word), if it's in the public domain somewhere, we probably have already google/bing'ed it Smile

Just wanted to let you guys know that this week the cast will be delayed until Sunday night as we will be busy with First Contact Conventions commitments on Friday and Saturday, leaving us only Sunday to record.

Sorry about that, but I'm sure you'll all survive without our waffle for a day

The weekend is ruined Crying or Very sad

That does rather makes sense, although it would be interesting hearing a cast done late Saturday night after two busy days with few hours sleep. I am sure some of the topics could get... interesting!

Whenever you upload, I am sure the wait shall be worthwhile. Putting together something of this quality and smoothness must take hours, even just preparing your topics before you hit record. Enjoy your weekend; I hope you find time to enjoy yourselves at the convention. Thanks for mentioning the delay, does my dependancy seem so obvious already? I thought I hid it better!
