Well, I decided to check out this new "random chat" program/website. Wow.

First, I must say something... this website is NOT for anyone under 18 that's for sure. Let alone anyone who is ... well, a prude. With in my first 10 minutes on here, I saw around 4 or 5 ... well, male bits. Not a sight I like jumping straight out at me from on my computer screen. Scary.

I have found a few funny's on there. People who have set themselves up obviously for a laugh. Others...seem normal enough. One who started chatting so quick, she was just happy not to see a penis for a change I think. Well, she said thank god you aren't a penis. I was going to say something about being a dick, but bit my tongue.

Doing a search on Youtube you can find some funnys that have been made off of the site and they are worth the time to watch as the laughs are fun.

Has anyone else had a look at this? What are your thoughts?

I haven't had a go at this myself and I don't know that I will bother.
Every person I know that has tried it, has had to deal with a lot of nakedness before finding anyone clothed... then after all that they have to find someone interesting to chat with!

As long as you have a sense of humour about the entire thing I'm sure you'd be okay, but I can just imagine how horrified some people are going to be with it

I'm curious about what a site like this may be doing to the battleplans of those for and against internet censorship.
I'm personally against internet censorship, but I am curious if Chatroulette will be the next things thrown around in the debate.

Ok, so I've had a real go at this tonight. I must say... rather happy.

Out of the dozen or so that I stopped and spoke with.
- I put vegemite on my face, because someone wanted to prove to a friend there are idiots out there. I helped prove there are idiots.
- I got scared by a Ninja that jumped out at me. (for you xombiekitty).
- I laughed with a guy in a hockey mask with his stuffed seal.
- I followed someones hand around the screen to their fits of laughter.
- I was mezmerised by a guy with a packet of popcorn on his head (it was part of the video - smart guy).
- I screamed at a couple trying to drink beer really fast.

I guess it might be a bit of a hit and miss. What does help, don't look too dull. If you do, people will pass you by.

Thank God I don't have a web cam, because, knowing me, I'd get curious and have a look (after I'd plucked up the courage), only to be met by wiggly bits. And I don't like strange wiggly bits!

I just love watching the first guy realise what is happening and his smile appear on his face.
I think that's the greatest moment.
When each person realises what's going on they're genuinely happy.

Its great some people can improvise like that (the thought of it scares me silly!). How many songs does he know if he can just do Fireflies so well, first request?
Bet some people that disconnected straight away are kicking themselves now, they could have been famous worldwide! I love the 3 girls with the heart shapes, and yeah that 'Italian-looking' first guy - his look is priceless when he realises he hearing an improv song about himself!

I quite enjoy just posting on forums (not the kind that start with "I never believed this would happen to me" though). And get plenty of chat time with friends on MSM and The Superhero Costuming Forum chatroom.

Still might be interesting to try, after all what's the worse that could happen (and yes, please do feel free to post a scenario for the worst )

I've even got my Enterprise webcam but don't think I'd use it.

Oh well. I'm going to open another tab and see what it's about. (to bravely go etc....)
