I have just been un-invited from a Christmas party

I just had my ex-work call me to say that they have taken a vote and decided that the Christmas party is only for current staff members only, and that I am no longer allowed to go.

This is despite the fact that I know one ex-staff member will be going.

They know I planned my Melbourne trip around getting back to Canberra by Saturday for the party. I suspect there are other reasons behind it (like my suddenly quitting, amongst other things).

Ah well, I guess these things happen. it's frustrating, but what can you do? So, I now have Saturday night free. Gonna see if I can coral people into doing something - maybe even a TRON legacy outing!

Pfft! You're better off not being around people if they're going to be like that.
You're going on to a cooler job anyway, & it sounds like you'll have a much better time going to see Tron Legacy again

One of the people at work favourited my tweet about being uninvited formt eh Christmas party.

Nice to know they're keeping tabs on me.

The only workplace I have ever mentioned in my tweets or on FB is Questacon. I thought about blocking him and making my tweets private, but I didn't want to give them the satisfaction.

I must say, I am mildly curious as to how this will play out.
