guess I should listen to the podcast first then ... but the show notes links are good for when I'm really time poor... okay off to inflict the show on the rest of the cube dwellers here at the orifice.

Thanks & sorry G-Man.
We want to record a new one (& hoping to do so asap).
We both got extremely sick from our attendance at Free Comic Book Day (thanks Scotty *grr* Wink ).
Chris was affected first, and I soon followed.

We have been so sick that it's lead to an extended time off work and both of us on antibiotics.
Basically we couldn't talk/breathe/make sense... we've even missed interviewing stars, watching preview screenings and attending a red carpet, so you know it's serious!

Our first attempt at leaving the house since getting sick happened on Thursday night and I've been coughing again since.
That being said we are really hoping to record asap if my rough breathing/coughing to talking/laughing ratio improves.

It feels so long since you last show. I managed to find time to listen to it last week, finally, and once again I loved it and made me realise just how much I missed you guys - this forum and podcast. Life just seems overrun with work, club, and even occasionally enjoying life with friends in the real world. At this moment right now, I should be writing four additional pages as an insert for Sonic Screwdriver; however, I figure I can fit that in on Wednesday night. So I will try to write a few posts here today and write my thoughts on the pervious cast. I wondered why you were unable to do more, but hearing you were unwell is just a shame but totally understandable. Get well first, as health is more important than anything else.

Star Wars Day - I enjoyed the various status updates on Facebook that day, although my own interest in the franchise did die off after the Phantom Menace.

Bonnie Piesse on MySpace - Pleasingly soothing music, though I am into country at the moment. I do not recall her from Star Wars, mind you I did not see Attack of the Clones more than once, despite it being the strongest of the new trilogy. I ought to re-watch them now time has passed; without any expectation they may appeal more that memory grants.

Iron Man 2 - While weaker than the first, for a fun film worth a watch Iron Man two certainly does not fail. The action sequences are amazing and all the actors do an amazing job. Favourite scene, for cinematographic reasons would be Gwyneth Paltrow walking up those steps with Scarlett Johansson. *sigh* As far as the male cast goes, Robert Downey Jr. and Mickey Rourke acted their socks off as usual, with Samuel L. Jackson playing the same role he has in every movie. While not having read the comic, I plan to continue watching the forthcoming Iron Man films and all the others which tie into this universe.

Ghost Rider - I cannot stand Nicholas Cage, with the notable exceptions of Snake Eyes, Face-Off, and Kick-Ass. I never watched the first film as I thought it looked quite terrible and I doubt my opinion would change upon watching it.

Thor - Unfamiliar with the character, although having a God in the mix actually makes it more interesting to me as a deeper layer of "history" can be included. I still think the best Thor came from Stargate.

Batman 3 - This would be quite interesting to see; I cannot see it overcoming the success of the pervious one. That said, I only liked The Dark Knight for the characters and wonderful dramatic scenes, the action honestly bored me and I wanted to get back to the actors. I am pleased they shall continue the series rather than rebooting. I am sick of reimaginations and just want new stories rather than the same introduction ones.

Green Lantern & Superman - I lost interest in Superman after the wonderful New Adventures series back in the 1990s. For me to see another one, I think they would need to do something different. I would like to see him later in life, maybe away from the newspaper company. I think a futuristic environment with a tech-savvy Lois, would grab my attention. Otherwise, I have seen it all before in the various adaptations. Okay, I suspect this would be unfaithful to the comics, I admit.

Clash Of The Titans / Green Lantern / DC Direct-to-DVD - I do not plan to see any trailers for the Green Lantern. As I mentioned before, my comic knowledge is limited, so I plan to go into this totally blind. Getting into this world late in life does actually excite me a little as its all totally new to me and I therefore carry no baggage of expectations or desires. I am looking forwards to this film based solely on what I know from your Podcast. You do a great job inciting enthusiasm.

Roger Ebert on 3D - I am all for 3D films in cinema release on the provision they are filmed in 3D. I have no interest seeing them at home as I am just as content to watch a fuzzy black an white episode of Callan from the 1960s as something visually spectacular as an Avatar-style film. I hear the next one will be an Abyss-style Avatar, which would be cool.

YouTube's 1st ever video: "Me at the zoo" - Watched a follow on link of the first twenty You Tube videos too, all equally lack-lustier. It is strange looking back a few years and realised a part of our lives which was not filed with random vieoes now exists! - First 20 Tubes

YouTube: "Stalker Cat" - I used to play stalking games with my cat years back, never filmed it though as back then what happened between a cat and her prey, stayed between a cat and her pray! Does everything really need to be filmed these days? Really?

Dunedin NZ Anime Convention - Used to be into anime a few years back, just do not have the time now. I put in a coule of sets of Vampire manga into the Mini-Con door prize collection the other week though. I now have a little more space in my TARDIS.

Mutants & Masterminds: DC Adventures - Not an RPG fan; however, I did used to play those text command computer games back in the 80s. The good old days when typing "go north" could send you falling down a bottomless pit, negating two hours of game-play like that.

Spider-Man stops a thief... for realsies! - That guy will have a tough time explaining to his fellow inmates just how he was arrested by super-heroes.

We're all aliens - To quote Lorne Green: "Some say life here, began out there" - therefore, we clearly are all cylons!

Stephen Hawking talks Time Travel / Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity / Galileo's Principle of Relativity - Fascinates me; and yet, I do not pretend to understand any of it which is why I drifted away from hard science into science fiction. Much more warm and fuzzy over here. :-)

Chaotic Geek Forum Feedback - Through the work I have done on magazines, clubs, and forums over the years, the one thing which always bothered me was the thankless chore of producing products which never received any feedback, not even negative. I think the effort you put into this site and cast deserves feedback and thanks. I know I write huge chunks which are skim-worthy, but I like the interactivity of the forum which invites such feedback.

Snap what Grenge said.

perhaps all the fans could submit a 1 minute blipvert and make a ultimate chaos mashup podcast.....

tell me that's not hot like chocolate sauce. (another brilliant idea from the Ministry of What Could Possibly Go Wrong)

Love the idea of the blipverts (yay for Max Headroom)!
Sounds like it could be lot of fun!
Definitely Chaotically Geeky Very Happy

As for the podcast...
Thanks for the well wishes. We are mostly better now (I blame PJ's cooties now Very Happy).
It's been other minor things keeping us away. We've even written multiple shows that never got recorded and the news got old!
We will put ourselves out there and state that we're recording one on the weekend so if it's not out by Monday you get to kick our tushies!
Many of you have our numbers so I would expect nasty calls Wink
Just don't think it will be the best show ever... it's not like we got good or anything during our break, lol Very Happy
